GAMMON Approved and signed by me CILLt(A1Qi--‘ ) 3 Ig Mayor ORDINANCE NO. 8403-93 AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $281,565 AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of Community Development Block Grant Funds and that the immediate needs of specific activities are met, transfers among accounts are necessary. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: SECTION I. The sum of $281,565 is hereby transferred among accounts as set forth below. Jefferson Blvd. South Bend, IN 46601 Dear Council Members: The attached appropriation bill is being submitted as part of Phase Two of the Mayor' s Good Neighbors/Good Neighborhoods Initiative. The bill would reprogram and transfer $281,565 of the federal Community Development Block Grant funds for the 1993 program year. Funds would be reprogrammed into the following neighborhood projects and programs: (1) an additional $120, 000 of funds for the Neighborhood Partnership Program bringing the total appropriated to $548, 000; (2) $120, 000 for the Southeast neighborhood's "Riley High School relocation/rehab activity" ; and (3) $41,565 for the Bureau of Housing's roof rehabilitation loan program. The proposed transfer of funds is in accordance with our Amended Final Statement of Community Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds - Program Year 1993 .
