AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $ 490,000.00
WITHIN VARIOUS ACCOUNTS OF THE WASTEWATER
FUND FOR VARIOUS IMPROVEMENTS
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to meet existing and proposed demands,street widening projects, and to
provide an efficient storm-sanitary sewer system, certain improvements are needed within
the City of South Bend, Indiana. These improvement projects are Project # 9332-
Twyckenham Storm-Sanitary Sewer Construction, and Project # 9307-Portage Storm-
Sanitary Sewer Construction, for the actual construction of these sewers. These funds are
available from the Wastewater Depreciation Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and ordered set apart
from the Wastewater Fund for the projects in the amount set forth below:
PROJECT NO. LOCATION AMOUNT
9332 Twyckenham Sewer Construction $ 240,000.00
9307 Portage Sewer Construction $ 250,000.00
Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

Dear Council Members:
The Department of Public Works is requesting your favorable consideration of the
attached ordinance appropriating funds from the Wastewater Depreciation Fund to various
projects. These projects are:
Project # 9332 - Twyckenham Sewer Construction - $ 240,000.00
These funds will be used for the construction of the Storm-Sanitary Sewer System in
the Twyckenham Road Widening.
Project # 9307 - Portage Sewer Construction - $ 250,000.00
These funds will be used for the construction of the Storm-Sanitary Sewer System in
the Portage Avenue Widening.
