The March 24, 2008 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee of the South Bend
Common Council was called to order by its Chairperson, Councilmember Tom LaFountain at 4:25
p.m. in the Council's Informal Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Varner, Oliver Davis; Roger Hamburg, Citizen
Member, Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney, John Voorde, City Clerk
BILL NO.82-07
Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney noted a letter from the City's Legal Department
requesting a continuance of Bill 82-07 until April 14, 2008 was received. Chairperson LaFountain
acknowledged he receipt. Council Member Varner made a motion, seconded by Council Member
LaFountain to accept the request to continue.
Miscellaneous Business:
Gary Gilot made a brief presentation noting an RFP to tape Council meetings had been
developed, published and been responded to by 2 responsible bidders. WNIT has agreed to
continue the service under terms of the original contract until Council reviews the responses and
a decision is made.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Councilmember Tom LaFountain
adjourned the meeting at 4:30 p.m.
