AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $366,237 WITHIN FUND 212 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS OF THE
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Statement of Purpose and Intent:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of
community resources, the Department of Community & Economic
Development has entered into contracts to provide staff and
administrative support for various not-for-profit organizations and
programs. These revenues are the basis for the administrative budget
and need to be appropriated for that use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $366,237 is hereby appropriated to Fund
212 from the following sources:
Business Development Corporation staff contract $97, 000
Urban Enterprise Association staff contract 85, 000
Industrial Revolving Fund staff contract 39, 520
Neighborhood Business Development Corp staff contract 15, 000
Tax Abatement Fees 9,450
Property Management Fees 37, 500
HOPE III Program 21, 304
HOME Program 10, 000
Mishawaka staff contract 5, 000
Corporation for Entrepreneurial Dev. staff contract 18,900
Construction Co. staff contract 7,563
Community Homebuyers Corporation 20, 000
TOTAL $366,237
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the

staff contracts to the department' s administrative budget. As we
discussed at our budget meetings this summer, this action will complete
the appropriation of department administrative funding for 1994.
