Re: An Ordinance of the Common Council of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, Approving The Sale of
Park Property
Dear Mrs. Puzzello:
I am attaching for filing an Ordinance Approving the Sale of
Park Property at Elbel Golf Course.
The property formerly served as housing for the Elbel Golf
Course golf professional, but. is no longer put to that use and is
no longer needed for that purpose.
The Park Board has.been approached by a number of
individuals. concerning their interest in purchasing the Real
Property.
At its meeting of April 18, 1994, the Park Board will
consider whether to determine the Real Property is required for
park purposes and will consider authorizing the sale of the Real
Property upon the following conditions:
A. That the Real Property be sold at a price not less
than its appraised fair market value.
B. That all proceeds of the sale of the Real Property
be returned to the Park Board and used for park purposes,
and the Park Board will be asked to ratify the filing of
this Ordinance.

determined that land under its control is.no longer needed for
park purposes, the Common Council shall. determine whether to
