La Salle avenue grade, curb and walk, under Improvement Resolution # 69. After considering the objections set forth by the remonstrator at the previous hearing, it was resolved by the Board that the Assessment Roll filed July 1st, and the Fynal Estimate allowed July lst, 19,03, shou`:c be the same is hereby in all things confirmed and approved. The Common Council having on the 13th. day of July, adopted the report of the Department of Public Works concerning sewer and.water connections on Franklin PLace, Emerick street, Monroe street and Thomas street, in advance of paving: under G.O. #1037, ordered that notices be given to property owners by publication in the South Bend Daily Times and the South fiend Daily Tribune on July 3_5t!-:. and July 22nd, 1903 re qizaring such connections to be made within 20.days from the last day of publication of such notices. Hearing on the Grade and Curb on La Fayette street under Improvement -Resolution +103. Several interested parties appeared and objected to the class of work, i.e. the deep grade of the street at the south end of improvement. The Board de- ferred hearing until July 24th, at 10 A.d. in which to consider same. Hearing on the Walk & Curb Improvement of Milton Street under Improvement Resolution # 116. Wilbert Ward, et. al. filed a written remonstra-ce against the class and style of work and the condition in which the street was left by the contractor. Hearing on said Assessment Roll and Final Estimate was postponed until Friday A.M. at 10 o'clock, July 24th., 1903. Hearing on Franklin Place Brick Pavement Declaratury.Resolution given. Robert Harris, et. al. filed a written petition requesting the Board to narrow the street three feet on the east side and two feet on the west side. The petition was given due consideration. Mr. Nicar moved the adoption of the resolution as drawn up, which was seconded by lfr. Papczynski. Mr. Mclnerny not voting;. The motion was adopted. The Board find that the benefits to thea abutting property i and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of the improvemi--; entq and said declaratory resolution is hereby approved and confirmed. The Engineer filed estimated cost for Franklin Place Brick ......... VO Hearing on Vacation Resolution # 21', vacating a certain alley in the A.S.Baker Addition, to the City of South Bend. No Remonstrants appeared and no remonstrances were filed. - The Board hereby declare the following described alley vacated: -"The fourteen foot alley as shown in plat of A.S. The Engineer reported that he had investigated the objections raised by the property owners at the previous hearing and found the work done accoruing to t_tle plans sec- -ications.
