Dear Board Members,
The Central Services Division requests your permission to advertise for Six thousand (6,000)
more or less Universal/Nestable Refuse Containers for Solid Waste. These containers will be
funded by the 2020 Solid Waste Operations Account.
We ask the board to proceed with all necessary legal requirements and post notice of the attached
specifications to all qualified vendors.

bar locking and bar lifting refuse containers that must conform with requirements of ANSI Z245.30-1999
and ANSI Z245.60-1099 for Type B/G containers. Bidder must submit independently certified copies of
all ANSI test results with bid. Three manufacturers are known to produce these containers. The City
Central Services contacted all manufacturers; one replied with name of sole supplier in City's geographic
market area. That supplier is not MWBE, but manufacturer constantly seeks MWBE suppliers. It has not
been successful to date.
No goals due to no MWBE suppliers,
