ORDINANCE NO. g540 17—
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $37, 000 . 00 FROM
THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM IMPROVEMENT FUND
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING ADMINISTRATIVE EQUIPMENT
AND PERFORMING VARIOUS REPAIRS AT THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
The Morris Civic Auditorium is owned by the City of South
Bend and is managed under the control of the Century Center Board
of Managers . The Century Center Board of managers on April 20,
1994, determined that it is in the best public interest to
complete a number of capital improvement projects prior to the
start of the next season and to fund those project with funds on
deposit in the Morris Civic Auditorium Improvement Fund. There
are currently over $200, 000 . 00 in the Morris Civic Auditorium
Improvement Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I .
The amount of $37, 000 . 00 is hereby appropriated and ordered
set apart within the Morris Civic Auditorium Improvement Fund for
the purchase and installation of the following:
PROJECT AMOUNT
Clear-com Production Intercom System $ 11, 000 . 00
New Drapery for Stage $ 12, 000 . 00
New Hardware for Fire Doors $ 10, 000 . 00
Update of Security System $ 4, 000 . 00
TOTAL $ 37, 000 . 00
SECTION II .
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council and Approval by the
Mayor.
