Re: An Ordinance of the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana Closing Certain Dormant Funds
and Transferring the Balances Therein to the
General Fund of the City of South Bend
Dear Mrs . Puzzello:
I am attaching an Ordinance closing certain funds which the
recent annual audit of the City accounts by the State Board of
Accounts revealed to be dormant for a period of years . The State
Board of Accounts has encouraged the closing of these funds, with
their respective balances being transferred to the City' s General
Fund. The attached ordinance effectuates that recommendation.
Your favorable consideration is respectfully requested.
Sincerely,
Kevin C. orton
