Dear Ann,
Attached is Ordinance #66-94 . this Ordinance comes before council
to re-establish a correction from an earlier ordinance presented
before council to establish the golf course budget.
Earlier in 1994 when the ordinance to set-up a golf course
division budget was approved, we appropriated monies from the
park maintenance fund to cover the 1994 golf course expenditures.
When this ordinance was approved and the monies were appropriated
we had intended to reimburse the park maintenance budget with the
appropriation of two additional ordinance transfers. The first,
was an ordinance request to transfer non-reverting revenues, and
the second was to appropriate a portion of the operating balance
for park capital improvements. When these ordinance's were
approved, the monies were appropriated into the golf division
budget, henceforth, allocating twice the funding intended.
Both, Ordinance #61-94 & 66-94 are sent before you to allow both
division's budgets to reflect the budget as originally intended
to purchase used golf carts, miscellaneous golf equipment, and
various other portions of the previous golf pro contracts. As
Fiscal Officer for the Park Department I ask for your favorable
passage of these two ordinance's. Thank you for your time and
consideration.
Respectfully,
Ronald M. O'Connor
