More people can workout: Widen pool of potential members because we’ll be helping parents who otherwise wouldn’t be able to step away to workout. This includes employees of the city
and members of our community. Communication has already been brought to Human Resources and they are excited and willing to advertise to city employees.
Competitive advantage: Not all competitors offer childcare.
Additional revenue: We will see this in memberships and class numbers increasing
There are also some general disadvantages associated with providing childcare.
Cost: Preschool room is already filled with lots of toys, games, learning materials, etc… Only needs are play pen and changing table (under $200.00) Also cost of staffing, utilizing
myself and volunteers, a few shifts may need to be covered by part time staff.
Liability: We are covered by Gibson Insurance
**We are going to start with ages 3-12, due to the 7:1 ratio. This is a 6 month trial period**
Hours of operation
Monday – Friday 8 am – 11 am
Monday – Thursday 4 pm – 7 pm
Prices
Members pay:
Membership + $30 family monthly rate
City Employees will just pay the $30 family monthly rate (city subsidizes their membership cost)
Up to 2 kids, additional kids are $1.50
Drop in Rates:
$3/member
$5/non member
$1.50 each additional child/member
$2.50 each additional child/non member
**2 hours max time per day**
