SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
February 4, 2020, 10:00 AM
731 S. Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601
Members present: Toy Villa, Darwin Shipley, Jonathan Jones, Gerard Ellis
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 10:00 AM by committee member Jones.
2. Approval of minutes
Upon a motion by Jones and seconded by Shipley the minutes from the previous meeting,
January 7th was approved unanimously
3. Approval of Special Event Permits
a. St. Patrick’s Day Parade – March 14th
Same route that has been used in past. No construction issues or other concerns.
Parade starts at Frances & Jefferson, makes its way down Jefferson to Niles, turning
onto Washington to disband. The staging area will begin at 9:30 AM. The parade
begins at 11:00 AM and is expected to last 1.5 hrs.
Upon a motion by Jones and seconded by Shipley the permit was approved unanimously

2. Adjournment
With no additional business, Jones motioned for adjournment and Vila seconded.
The meeting ended at 10:10 AM.
