the grading, graveling and corrstruction,of cement curbing on Niles Avenue, Corby street
and St. Peter street, respectively. The Engineer filed the estimated costs as follows:
For Niles' Avenue, �4548.72, For Corby street, ' 8033.161 For St Peter street,
1822. 26� A rem:nst ranee was filed against all of these improvements. Petitioners and
Remonstrators also appeared before the Board and argued the question as to the advisab-
ility of making these improvements. The Board find that the benefits, including the
benefits to the City, are equal to the estimated cost of the, above improvements in each
case. Improvement Resolutions 4748 and 49 are accordingly confirmed.
Hearing upon the confirmation of Improvement Resolutions 55, 56 and 57, for the
construction -of Pipe sewers upon Dubail and Indiana Avenues and a trunk sewer upon °
Prairie Avenue respectively. The engineer filed the estimat: d costs as follows: l{'or the
Dubail Avenue sewer, $ '1841.95 For the Indiana° Avenue sewer, 1861.95 For the
Prairie Avenue sewer, $ 14621.34 No remonstrances were filed and no remonstrators
appeared against the execution of any of the above improvements. The Board find that
the benefits, including; the benefits to* the City are in each case equal to the estimated
cost of the improvement. Improvement Resolutions No. 55, 56, and 57 are accordingly
confirmed.
Hearing upon the confirmation of Improvement Resolutions No. 50, 51, 52, 53 and
54 for the improvement of Sibley Avenue,- College street, Rush street, Diamond Avenue,
and Witwer Avenue respectively. The Engineer filed the estimated costs as follows:
Sibley Avenue, A91209.20, College street, $1074.50, Rush street, $1945.30, Diamond Ave-
nue, _$563.80, Witwer Avenue, $207.00, No remonstrances were filed and no remonstrators
appeared against any of the above improvements. The Board find that the' benefits, in-
cluding the benefits to the City are equal to the estimated cost of the above improve-
ments in each individual case. Improvement Resolutions 50 to 54 inclusive are' according-
ly confirmed.

Resolution No. 58 is accordingly confirmed.- The vote ,of the Board was as follows, Messrs
Hubbard and Leeper in favor of the confirmation and Mr. Goetz against the same.
Hearing on Vacation Resolution No. 11 adopteed Ma_--ch 21st 1902. Remonstrators
appeared and remonstrances were filed -against this vacation. August Beyers, John Delusej-
John Lue sch, Otto Beyrer s, Frank Mauch, argued the matter to the Board, claiming that the
proposed vacation would leave no outlet -from Parry to Eddy street for a gra,gt and un-
reasonable distance. The Board find that it is not desirable to vacate this alley at
present; accordingly Vacation Resolution No. 11 is hereby rescinded.
Hearing on Vacation Resolution No, 10 adopted March 14, 1902. Remonstrators
appeared and a remonstrance was filed against this proposed vacation on the ground that
such action on the part of the City would injure all surrounding property, especially
the closing of any part of Hoke street which it .is claimed should in time be extended
north to provide an outlet from Roseland Park. The Board find that thi s proposed-'.vacc
tion cannot be carried through without irreparable damage to surrounding property,
accordingly Vacation Resolution No. 10 should be and hereby is rescinded.

Avenue sewer connections and the South Laurel street sewer connections. Also with James
Aslin for the Wayne street eater connections and with James Nelson for the Wayne street

Contracts provide for completion of the work by April 15th and for the tamping of the
trenches from bottom to top.
Petition filed for cement walks and curbs on Burroughs street from Michigan
Avenue to Marion street, also for grading said Burroughs street if necessary.

the board and the city engineer and a number of interested property owners went over the
street and. investigated the condition of the foundation- It was decided by the Board not
to interfere with the contract and specifications as originally drawn up- The clerk was
requested to notify the contractor to proceed with the contract without further delay.
