SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
January 7, 2020, 10:00 AM
731 S. Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601
Members present: Brad Rohrscheib, Toy Villa, Darwin Shipley, Jonathan Jones,
Gerard Ellis
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 10:02 AM by President Rohrscheib.
2. Approval of minutes
Upon a motion by Jones and seconded by Shipley the minutes from the previous meeting,
December 17th was approved unanimously
3. Approval of Special Event Permits
4. Other Business – Amend the agenda to add one event for approval: St. Margaret’s
House – Winter Walk – Feb 16th
a. St. Margaret’s House “Winter Walk” – Feb 16th
Walk starts at 2:00 PM (1mile walk). Has done in past with no issues. Participants will
stay on sidewalks and obey all traffic laws. Due to construction this year, there is a
minor tweak to the usual route. Will start at County City building, proceed north on
Lafayette to Lasalle, turn east on Lasalle to Main, proceed south to Jefferson and
going west back to Lafayette, heading south on Lafayette to Western and heading
back north on the other side of Lafayette back to St. Margaret’s House.
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Villa the permit was approved
unanimously

2. Adjournment
With no additional business, Rohrscheib motioned for adjournment and Shipley
seconded. The meeting ended at 10:25 AM.
