Clerk’s Office Announces Transition in Office Leadership
City Clerk Dawn Jones announced today that Chief Deputy City Clerk Jennifer Coffman has
transitioned after accepting the position of Director of Human Resources for the St. Joseph County
Probate Court. Coffman joined the Clerk’s Office in 2016 as Clerk Fowler’s Chief Deputy. She played an integral role in furthering Clerk Fowler’s vision of making government accessible to all.
“Of the many things I appreciate about Jen, her professionalism and her willingness to make a smooth transition for the office cannot be underscored enough,” Clerk Jones stated. “Jennifer Coffman has been an asset to the Clerk’s office and the South Bend Common Council.
Jennifer has been the utmost professional with the residents and with all the governmental officials.
Jennifer will be missed, and I thank her for her service to South Bend, “ Tim Scott, Council President stated. “It has been an honor to serve with Clerk Fowler and Clerk Jones over the past four years. The
