SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
December 3, 2019, 10:00 AM
731 S. Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601
Members present: Brad Rohrscheib, Darwin Shipley, Jonathan Jones, Toy Villa
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 10:05 AM by President Rohrscheib.
2. Approval of minutes
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Shipley the minutes from the previous
meeting, November 26th was approved unanimously
3. Approval of Special Event Permits –
a. Rally & March for life January 24th (2020)
This event has been done many years in the past with no issues. Participants stay on
sidewalks and obey all traffic laws. The march begins at The Hall at 553 East Washington
St. and ends at Main St. in front of the Federal Court House. The committee had no
concerns with this event. Application fee $50.00 is still due.
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Jones the permit was approved
unanimously

2. Adjournment
With no additional business, Rohrscheib motioned for adjournment and Shipley
seconded. The meeting ended at 10:12 AM.
