AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $29, 255. 00 FROM THE
MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM IMPROVEMENT FUND
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERFORMING VARIOUS REPAIRS
AT THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
The Morris Civic Auditorium is owned by the City of South
Bend and is managed under the control of the Century Center Board
of Managers . The Century Center Board of Managers on July 19,
1995, determined that it is in the best public interest to
complete a number of capital improvement projects prior to the
start of next season and to fund those projects with funds on
deposit in the Morris Civic Auditorium Improvement Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOW:
SECTION I .
The amount of $29, 255.00 is hereby appropriated and ordered
set apart within the Morris Civic Auditorium Improvement Fund for
the purchase and installation of the following:

Air Conditioning Repairs 5, 323. 00
Asbestos Removal and
Replacement of Boiler Breeching 9, 029. 00

Roof Vent Screen Replacement 1, 873. 00
Exterior and Interior Painting/Dry
Wall Repair, Miscellaneous Carpentry 3, 970 . 00
TOTAL $29, 255. 00
SECTION II .
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council and Approval by the
Mayor.

4. Asbestos Removal &Boiler repairs $ 9,029.00
5. Electrical Repairs of Chandeliers and Exterior
Cases $ 3,760.00
6. Roof Vent Screen Replacement $ 1,873.00
7. Exterior/Interior painting, dry-wall &
Miscellaneous Carpentry $ 3,970.00
TOTAL REQUEST $29,255.00
The current capital fund balance is $179,652.86 and the Century Center Board of Managers
approved the request on July 19, 1995 at their quarterly board meeting.
