AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA APPROPRIATING $107, 880 FROM THE
GENERAL FUND; $31, 402 FROM THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL
DEVELOPMENT FUND; AND $350, 670 FROM THE
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INCOME TAX FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The Common Council of the City of South Bend hereby determines
that it is necessary and in the best interest of the City to make
additional appropriations of funds available within the Economic
Development Income Tax Fund, the General'- Fund, and the Cumulative
Capital Development Fund of the City of South Bend to fund certain
expenses of the City. The specific expenses to be funded by the
additional appropriations are described at Exhibit A attached
hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The following sum is hereby appropriated and
ordered set apart from and within the Economic Development Income
Tax Fund of the City of South Bend for the purposes specified at
Exhibit A, hereto:
Fund No . 408 Economic Development Income Tax Fund $350, 670
SECTION II . The following sum is hereby appropriated and
ordered set apart from and within the General Fund of the City of
South Bend for the purposes specified at Exhibit A, hereto:
Fund No. 101 General Fund $107, 880
SECTION III . The following sum is hereby appropriated and
ordered set apart from and within the Cumulative Capital
Development Fund of the City of South Bend for the purposes
specified at Exhibit A, hereto:
Fund No. 406 Cumulative Capital Development Fund $ 31, 402
SECTION IV. If any one or more of the provisions contained in
this ordinance shall for any reason be held to be invalid, illegal,
or unenforceable in any respect, such invalidity, illegality or
unenforceability shall not affect any other provision hereof, and
this ordinance shall be construed as if such invalid, illegal or
unenforceable provisions was not contained therein.
SECTION V. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by
the Mayor.

Mr. Roland Kelly, President of the South Bend Common Council:
Attached is an ordinance requesting the appropriation of additional capital dollars in the
General, Economic Development Income Tax and Cumulative Capital Development
Funds.
The General Fund request is for remodeling of the old fire station on Olive Street to be
used for the permanent home of our Animal Control program.
The CCDF request is for the replacement of a Police vehicle and cages to be installed
in the Animal Control building.
The request in the EDIT fund is for the city's share of a 4.9 million dollar toll road
interchange project in the Blackthorn area (200,000); Public Works improvements in
the Meade street area (60,000); and various downtown improvements (90,670).
