AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $31, 664 .00 FROM THE
MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM IMPROVEMENT FUND
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERFORMING VARIOUS REPAIRS
AT THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
The Morris Civic Auditorium is owned by the City of South Bend
and is managed under the control of the Century Center Board of
Managers. The Century Center Board of Managers on April 19, 1996,
determined that it is in the best public interest to complete
certain capital improvement projects at this time and to fund those
projects with funds on deposit in the Morris Civic Auditorium
Improvement Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I .
The amount of $31, 664 . 00 is hereby appropriated and ordered
set apart within the Morris Civic Auditorium Improvement Fund for
the purchase and installation of the following:
PROJECT AMOUNT
Repairs to the building including
painting, tile, roof, elevator,
and heating system $16, 778 . 00
House Equipment 7, 004 .00
Stage Equipment 4, 819. 00
Repairs to stage floor, sound and
lighting system 3, 063. 00
Total $31, 664 . 00
Section II .
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council and Approval by the Mayor.
