Burke for Water Connections on Diamond avenue Remonstrance received and placed on file from the South Bend Manufacturing Co. ° remonstrating against the dumping of refuse matter in the St,Joseph River above the Dam. ✓ Contractors Excavation Bonds approved as follows: James Aslin.James Nelson.and South Rend Heating and Plumbing Co. Engineer filed Assessment Roll and Final Estimate for Tarvia Macadam Pavement on VanBuren Street from Portage Avenue to Howard avenue.under Improvement Resolution No. 600. Recolved,that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six .consecutive days in the South_ Bend Daily Times,commencing on the 29 day of July 1910 stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessment at its office in to City Hall on the 19th. day of August 1910 at 7-15 P.M. Resolved further that the entire work under the above contract be accepted and Approved and the Final Estimate thereon'allowed . IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION.NO.41 Resolved by the Board of Public works of the City of South Bend indiana.That it is desire and deemed necessary,to make the following described public improvementsin the said City as authorized by the following numbered Improvement Resolution,aaopted by said Board on .15th. day of August 1910. Resolved that an improvement be made of the kind,size,location and terminal points as follows ;To improve Webster Street from Sample Street to the C.I.& S. R.R. By grading and paving the roadwayalso by grading and paving the roadway of intersecting and entering Streets and Alleys lying within said portionsof said Webster Street not included in the roadway to be improved,with Aspholt,Bitulithic,Briek or Eremsoted Wooden Block,laid on a five(5).inch Portland Cement Concrete gravel foundation from curb line to curb line placing the necessary margenal Cement Curb,and curbing the ro roadway with cement -curb where same is not already constructed,also the construction of t the necessery storm water inlets. Said improvement shall be known and designated as WEBSTER STREET PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT NO.41. Detail drawings,plans,profiles and specificat are on file and may be seen at the office of said Board and all work in the making of said publ.ib improvement must be done in accordance therewith. Said Board has fixed the 5t day of August 1910 as a date upon which remonstrances may be filed or heard by perso: interested or affected by said public improvementsand on said day at 7-15 P.M.,said Board will at its s&id offivehear and consider any remonstrators and persons interested or whose property is affected by said public improvement and will decide whether the benefits that will accrue to the property,abutting and adjacent to the proposed improvemei and to said City,will be equil to or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvemen, as estimated by the City Civil Engineer. A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the contractor in payment of such work where the property owner signes waiver required,as according to law. Which said Bonds shall bear interest at the rate &f six per. cent per annum,payable as provided by law. Contract with.Zeigler & Stickler. Lumber Co. for rental of ground on Emerick Street ordered recinded after the lst. of Au-ust.1910 Jz CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION NO-3 8tsolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of -South Bend Indiana: That the following described property be appropriated for the use of said City; A strip of lard(20)feet twenty feet wide being a part of lot six(6) Jacob Leer's Surv&y.described as follows via: Beginning at the intersection of the westerly line of Leer Street as platted in Delmer C.-Leer's Sub -Division of lot (5) and part of "W" of Jacob Leer's Survey and the Southerly line of Vistula Avenue,Thence Westerly along the Southerly line of Vistula Avenue,22.36 feet,thence Southerly parallel with tie -Westerly line of Leer Street to the Southerly line of lot (6)in Paid Leer's Suvey thence Easterly on -the Southerly line of said lot (6) to the westerly line of Leer Street thence Norththerly on Westerly line of Leer Street to the place of beginning. .The following described property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such appropriation; Damaged Lot (6) Jacob Leer's Survey except part taken for the opening of Leer Street, owned by Thaddeus M. & Nellie S. 7el=eatt.
