Board met in regular session at 10.A.M. o,ll °members- present
The Sanders & Egbert Co. were awarded -the Contract for furnishing -the Street
Department with 20000 feet of White Oak Lumber @ 27.00 per. .
Staples —Hildebrand Supply Co. were &waded the contract for furnishing the
Street Department with one -Car of #2, Barr Clay Paving; Block F.O.B. car
South Bend Ind. @ 15400 per. M.
I. W. Lower awarded the contract to decorate the walls of part of the City Mall
in Murenco for the sum of 135.00
Remonstrance receiver and placed on file against the Paving of Diamond Avenue
from La Porte Avenue to Michigan Avenue.
Petition received and refered to the City Engineer asking for the widening or
Leer Street frAm Vistula Avenue to the L. S.& M. S. R.R..tracks.
Remonstrance received and placed on file against the establishing of a Street
Park in the center of St, Joseph Street
. C.H. Defrees was ordered to pay Charles Coussens $19.00 for placing a Sewer Tap
tw connect Frank Kline* Lot on Vistula, Avenue which he had failed to put in.
Water connections on Osborn Street and ?miller Court approved by the Board.
Bids on the following improvements were opened and refered is the City Engineer
for tabulation.
Dale Avenue Grad-e,Curb and Walk. Broadway Pipe Sewer. East Navarre Street and
North St,Joseph Street Cold Tar Filled Mac-adam Pavement. All under Improvement
Resolutions No!s. 4,5,6,7, respectively.
IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO.2.0
/Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend Indiana.
That it is desired and deemed necessary to make the following described public
improvements in the said City as authorized by the following numbered Improvement
Resolution,adopted by said Board on the 3th. day of May 1910.
Resolved; That an improvement be made of the kind,gize,location and terminal
pointsas follows,
A 10 lnch Pipe Sewer in Wayne Street from the Manhole in the center of Frances St.
to Eddy St.`together, with the necessary house connecti*ns,M&nholes,Inlets,Flushtak
etc, Detail drawingm,pltans, peofiles and specifications are on file and may be sen
at the office of said Board and all work in the making of said -public improvements
must be done in accordance therewith. Said improvement shall be known and
designated as THE EAST WAYNE STREET PIPE SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO.20'.
Said.Board has fixed the 27th. day of May 1910 as a date upon which remonstrances
may be filed or heard. by persons interested or affected by said public improvement
and on said day at 7-15 P.M. said Board vill at its said office hear wind consider
any remonstrarors and persons interested or whose property is affected by" said
public improvement and will decide whether the benefits that will accrue to the
p roperty,abutting and adjacent to the proposed improverrents,and to said City,will
be equal t e or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvement,es estimated
by the City Civil En sneer.
• A Bend or Bonds issued to the con for as according to law.. Said Bends to
• bear interest at the rate of Six �� . per cent playable as provided by law.

Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend Indiana. That it is
deaired and deemed necessary to make the following described public improvement in the
said City as authorized by the following numbered Improvement Resolution, adopted by
said Board on the 3th. day of May 1910, Reselved.,that an improvement be made of the kin
size.location of terminal points as f*!l*wM,Grade,Curb and Walk on Bertrand Street from
Johnson Street to Olive Street. Detail drawings,plans,profiles and specifications are on
file and may be seen at the office of said Board and all work in the mc4ing.of said publi
improvement must be done in accordance therewith. Said Improvement shall -be known and
designated as THE BERTRYVND STREET GRADE?CURB AND !VALK !HPR0VFXEN.T N021
Said Board has fixed the 27th. day of May 1910 as a date upon which remonstrances maybe
filed or Heard by persons interested or aff6eted by s&id public improvement and on said
day at 7-15P.M- said Board will at its maid office hear and consider any remenstra tors
and persons interested or whose Property is affected by said public improvementand will
decide whether the benefits that will accrue to the property,abutting and adjacent to the
proposed imprevements,and to said City,will be equal to or exceed the estimated :cost
-of the proposed improvement,as estimated by the City Civil Engineer.

follows; To improve Diamond Avenue-friom L&2Porte Avenue to Michigan Avenue by grading and
paving the roadway,also grading and paving the roarway of intersecting and entering
,streets and alleys lying within said portion of said Diamond Avenue net included in the
roadway to be impr*vedlwith Asph*lt.)Bitulithic, Brick or Creosoted Wooden Blocklaid on
a five (5) inch Portland Cement Concrete gravel foundationfrom curblineto curb lima
placing the necessary marginal Cement Curb,and curbing the roadway with cement curb
where maze is not already constructed,als* the construction of the necessary stern water
inlets all am shown on plans,and in accordance with prefiles,detail plans and specificati
-ons on file in the office of the Board of Public Works of said City and all work' in the
making of said Public improvement must be done in accordance therewith.
