A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF WORKS FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND ADVISORY PLAN COMMISSION
WHEREAS The City of South Bend, Indiana, under the authority of Ind. Code 36-7-
4 et seq., approved Ordinance No. 10669-19, confirming and approving the formation of the
City of South Bend Advisory Plan Commission and Advisory Board of Zoning Appeal.
WHEREAS Ordinance No. 10669-19 amended the South Bend Municipal Code at
Chapter 2, Article 5, to add a new Section 2-60 establishing the South Bend Advisory Plan
Commission effective December 1, 2019.
WHEREAS pursuant to Ordinance No. 10669-19, Section 2-60 of the South Bend
Municipal Code and Ind. Code 36-7-207, the South Bend Advisory Plan Commission is to be
comprised of nine (9) representatives as follows:
One (1) member appointed by the Common Council from its membership.
One (1) member appointed by the park board.
One (1) member or designated representative appointed by the city works board.
The city civil engineer or a qualified assistant, appointed by the city civil engineer, and
Five (5) citizen members, of whom no more than three (3) maybe of the same political
Party, appointed by the Mayor.
WHEREAS this Resolution serves to appoint the one (1) member to serve as city
public works board representative on the City of South Bend Advisory Plan Commission.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
WORKS THAT:
The Board of Public Works for the City of South Bend hereby appoints Scott Ford,
Associate Vice President for Economic Development, University of Notre Dame, to
serve as the Board of Public Works appointee to the City of South Bend Advisory Plan
Commission for purposes identified in Common Council Ordinance No. 10669-19.
This appointment is effective December 1, 2019.
ADOPTED this 12th day of November 2019.
