AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8269 -92 OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
CONCERNING THE AMBULANCE /MEDICAL USER FEE AND DEDICATED FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
Ordinance No. 8269 -92 of the Common Council of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, among other things, provided for quarterly
transfers in specified amounts and subject to an annual minimum
transfer to be made from the City of South Bend E.M.S. Capital Fund
to the City of South Bend General Fund. The Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana has determined that it is in the best
interest of the City and the health and integrity of both the
E.M.S. Capital Fund and the General Fund to amend Ordinance No.
8269 -92 to increase the amount of the quarterly and annual minimum
transfers from the E.M.S. Capital Fund to the General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Ordinance No. 8269 -92 of the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana shall be and hereby is amended by
amending Section II of said ordinance in its entirety to provide as
follows:
Section II. The additional revenues generated by the
above rates shall be dedicated to defraying the expenses
of the E.M.S. operating budget, a part of the vVeneral
,und of the City of South Bend and for capital purchases
and leases of E.M.S. equipment, fire fighting equipment
and fire station repairs. All moneys collected will be
deposited in the E.M.S. Capital Fund. Quarterly
transfers in the amount of $3-8 -,500 will be made
from the E.M.S. Capital Fund on or about the last day of
each quarter of the calendar year. Vff��i,.ransfer'" -f-

8269 -92 of the Common Council, by increasing from $38,500 to $62,500 and from $142,000 to
$250,000 the amount of the quarterly and annual transfers, respectively, from the E.M.S. Capital
Fund to the General Fund.
