The .Bo&rd met in regular session -aet 10:00 A. M. All members present.
Contract awarded to C. H. Defrees for the Van Buren Street Taarvia Macadam under
Improvement Resolution No. gZf .
Gary Stone and Tar,rvia X to be used.
Awarding of Contract for the La Porte Avenue pavement under Improvement Resolution
No. J-p9 was deferred until October 5th.2 1909 at 10:00 A. M.
Awarding of contract for the Prairie Ave. Grade, Curb & Walk under Improvement
Resolution Tao. j'O/ was deferred until October 8th. , 1;09 at 10 :)� A. M.
Hearing was given on ConderLgation Resolution No. 55 : condemning and appropriating
the following dscribed property Begin at ae, point on the North line of Sorin Street 7 feet
east of a point equal distance between Eddy and Coquillard Streets. Thence North to a
point in the South line of &n alley F) feet wide in Turnock and Hartmans Sub. 7 feet east of
a point equal distance between Eddy and Coquillard Streets thence west 14 feet, thence south
6&.65 feet, thence ivest 9.51 feet, thence south 137.29 feet, thence east 9.51 feet, thence
south to a point in the north line of Sorin Street. 14 ft. rtest of beginning, thence east to
place _cif beginning.
No remonstrances were filed s;.nd no remonstrators appeared. The Board therefore
declare the above described property in all things condemned and appropriated for public
use.
Engineer ;nstructed to prepare roll showing Pwards of dti nages and xSSessments of
benefits in the ,above condemnation.
Dearing given on Declaratory Resolution for. Pipe Sewer on Eddv street from South
Bend avenue to Howard street, under Improvement Resolution No. 619.
Engineer filed estimated cast as follows:

In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no renastraances were filed. The
Board therefore fend in each and every ckne in said improvement that, the benefits to the prop
erty- and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of -Wd improvement,% and
the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed rind approved.
Resolved, that notices be published on the 2nd day of October and on the 9 th day
of October 1909, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that this Board will receive bids for
the. construction of said improvements -up to 10:00 A. M. can the l9tr, (?any of October 1909. The
Board reserves they right to reject any or all bids.
