IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 595 Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and. terminal points as follow$ Drade,. Curb & Walk ,on Broadway from Fellows Street to .Miami Street. Said improvement. -shall be -known and designated as "THE BROADWAY GRADE? CURB & WALK IMPROVEMT" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications pre pared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be pub- lished on the 23rd day of June and on the jOth day of June 1909, in the South Bend Daily Times. This board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 13th day of July 1909, at 7;15 P. X. 'A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where. the property owner sighs waiver ,required, as according to law. Which said bonds shall bear interest at the rate off ix per cent. per annum, payable as provided by law. Adopted this 22d. day of June 1909. BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS: W. A.1CiNERNY, Pres. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 596 Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of -the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Tarvia Macadam Pavement on Notre Dame Street and. Notre Dame Avenue from Jefferson Street to The City Limits on the North. Said improvement sha-l*be known and designated as "THE NOTRE DAME STREET & NOTRE. DAME AVENUE PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT" and shall be constructed according to the plans and spe- cifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 23rd. day of June and on the 30th day of June 1909, in the South Bend Daily Times. This board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City-.. Hall on the 13th day of July 1909, at 71*15 P. M. A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where the property owner signs waiver required, as according to law. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 597. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana; That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follow4 Webster Street from Sample Street to the C. I. and S. R. R. by grading and paving the roadway with either Brick, Asphalt, Bitulithic, Wooden -block or Mineral Rubber Asphaltic Concrete pave- ment laid on a gravel concrete foundation. Also for the construction of concrete curb and extension of severs from inlets to the riain sewer ando<other appurtenances. Said improvement shall be known and designated as "THE WEBSTER STREET PAVING IMPROVEMENT" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 23 rd day of June and on the 30th day of June, 1909, in the South BendDaily Times. Ta.rvie, 1A&cadam..........Awarding of contract deferred until Wednesday June 23rd., 1909 at 10:00 A. M. Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 53 for opening of Alley along L. S. & M. S. R. R. from Leer Street to Kline Street. Condemnation Resolution No. 54 for the widening of Rupel Street From Wilber Street West 100 feet. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore declare the above property in all things condemned and appropriated for public use. Engineer instructed to prepare roll showing awards of damages and.assessments of penefits in the above matter-, Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No. 55 for vacating Vassar Ave., from Leland Av to River. Vacation Resolution No. 56 for Vacatinf; of Youkon Ave. from.Leland Ave. to River. In the above matter no remonstrators Apl5eared and'no remonstrances were filed.The Board therefore declare the above property in all things vacated. Engineer instructed to prepare roll showing awards of'damages and assesqneits of benefitsq in the above matter. The Hone Telephone Company submitted plans and detail drawings showing extensions of underground system which they wish to install at once. The same being approved by the Board of Public Works and referred to the City End ineer. President.
