Engineer reported ".Grade" on Burnes Street.fs. same approved. Dearing given on Improvement Resolution No.:581 providing for a Trunk Sewer along th following route; Beginning at Linden Avenue & Meade Street at the end of the Kenwood Ave. Trunk Sewer, thence south on Meade Street to Huron street, thence East on Huron.Street to olive street, thence south on Olive street to Calvert street.The following remonstrators appeared in person and by attorneys and filed remonstrances and gave evidence in support thereof, The Grand Trunk & Western Railway Company; New Jersey, Iridiona and Illinois Rail- road Company; St. Joseph, South Bend & Southern R. R. Co; Chicago, Indiana & Southe•rn R. R. Co; Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railway Company; Michigan Central Railroad. Company; and Jozeph Przestnor et al. And the Board having considered the matter and being advised in the premises find. that each of said remonstrances should be and they are hereby over -ruled.. 0 That the drainage district provided in said resolution correctly describes the property to be benefitted, by said drain and which will eventually drain into said Trunk Sewer; that all the real estate em.Vraced within said boundaries will so drain into said sewer and that no property not included therein should be added to said drainw-e district, and the Board further find that the benefits to said real estate embraced within said boundaries and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvement. It is there- fore ordered that said preliminary resolution No. 591 should be and the same is heretry in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. On this question Edwin Nicar not voting; Messrs. Papczynski and YLaInerny voting in the affirmative. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO 553. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana.. That an improvement be made of the kind, size,, location and terminal points as follows: Grade, Curb & Walk on Cherry street from Jefferson street to Division street. Said improvement shall be known and designated as "The Cherry street Grade, Curb & Walk Improvement" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, Piled herewith., Notice of this resolution shall be published. on -the 15th day of May andon the 22 day of May 1909, in the South Bend Daily Times. This boand will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the Sth day of June, 1909, at T:15 P. M. A Bond of Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where the property owner signs waiver required, as -according to law. Which said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six per cent. per armor+, payable as provided by law. Adopted this loth day of May 1909. BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS, W., A. McInerny, Pres. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 594„- Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind, stze,.location and terminal points as follows: Grade, Curb & Walk on Jefferson street from Walnut street to Cherry street. Said improvement shall be known and designated as "The Jefferson street Grade, Curb h Walk Improvement" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications pre - Dared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be pub- lished on the 15th day of May and on the 22 day of May, 1909, in the South Bend Daily Times. This board will give aa, hearing ,on this resolution at its office in the City Fall on the 9th day of June 1909, at 7:15 P. M- A Bond or Bonds to be issued -to the Contractor in payment for such work where the property owner signs waiver required, as according to law. Notice of this resolution shall be pub- lished on the 15th day of May and on the 22 day of May, 1909, in the South Bend Daily Times. Said improvement shall be known and desigl**ed as "The Notre Dame street Grade, Curb & Walk Improvement" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 15th day of May and on the 22nd day of May 190% in The South Bend Daily Times. This board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the Sth day of June 1909, at 7:15 P. M. A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work: where the property owner signs waiver required, as according to law. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an Improve- ment be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as -follows: Grading of Howard street from Notre Dame Avenue to Eddy street. Said improvement shall be known and design as "The Howard street Grading Improvement " and shall be constructed according to the -plans and specifications prepared by -the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notioe of this resolution shall be published on the 15th day of May and on the 22nd clay of May 1909, in the South Bend Deily Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 8trh day of June 1909 at 7:15 P. M. A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where the property owner..,signes waiver required, as according to law. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an improv- -ement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Grading alley west of Hill street from Cresent avenue South to Cedar street. Said improvement shall be known and designated as "The Alley west of Hill street Grading Improvement " and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 15th day of May and on the 22nd day of May-1909,.in the South Bend Daily Times.
