The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. Mr. Papczynski absent.
Light ordered on Lincoln street 6tothe lst alley south of Huron street.
Hearing given on assessment roll and final estimate for Pipe Sewer on
Miller Court from Sample street to Osborne street, under Improvement Res1lution No.557
No remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore
find that the property assessed in said roll filed September lst, 1909, is
benefitted in.the amount of assessments as shown on skid roll and the Board further
find that the assessment roll filed September lst and the final estimate allowed
September lst, 1909, should be and the same is hereby in all things ratified.,
confirmed and approved.
Hearing given on Declaratory Resolutions for Grade, Curb & Walk on Bowman
street from Michigan street to Main street and for Grading of alley North of Grand
Trunk,Western R. R. Cols. Right of Way from St. Joseph street to Carroll street,
Under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 570 k 671 respecitively.
Engineer filed estimated cost as follows:
Bowman street Grade, Curb & Walk ...................... $ cso—,
Alley N. of G. T. R. R. Grading ....................... boo
In the above matter no remonstrators a,,)peared and no remonstrances were filed.
The Board therefore find in each and every case insaid improvements that the
benefits to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated.
cost of said improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed
and approved.
Resolved by the Board of Public Works that notices be published in the South
Bend Daily Times on the 16th dayof September and on the 23rd day of September, 1908,
to the effect that this Board will receive bids for said improvements up to 10 A. M.
on the 6th day of October, 1908-. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all
bids.
There being no bids -filed to -day for the May street Grade, Curb & Walk Improve-
ment, under Improvement Resolution No. 564, the clerk was instructed to re -advertise
for bids for said improvement in the above adver'.isement. Bids to be received
up to 10 A. M. October 6th 1908.
