Friday September 4th. 1908.
The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. Mr. Papezynski absent.
Hearing on Condemnation Resolution No. 43 continued until October 2nd, 1909,
at 10 A. M.
Hearing on Declaratory Resolution No. for Trunk -Sewer on Meade, Huron &
Olive street was continued until October 2nd' 1908, at 10 A. M.
The following notice was ordered,served,on the Grand Trunk Western Ry. Co.
The Grand Trunk WesternRailway Company:
You are hereby notifie.d,to immediately eradicate and remove
the obstruction under your tracks where the same cross Cottrell avenue in the City of
South'Bend and to open the same and keep same open for the travel of the public.

Petition filed by Mrs. Cecelia C. Meeker, by Atty. F. H. Wurzer, asking that
the Board order and require the fence or obstruction which was placed in the alley,
or that property which is used as an alley north of and adjoining Lot 47 in Hendricks
& Grants addition, moved bask to its former loeationabout 7 feet South -of where
it now stands. Petition referred to the Law Department.

to Carroll street; stood street from Madisonstreet to Marion street; William street from
Washington street to South Btreet; Vistula avenue from Washington street to Southstreet;
South street from the alley east of Columbia street to Taylor street; St. Joseph
street from Washington street to Division street; Scott street from Washington street to
L. S. & M. S. R. R. Lafayette street from Navarre street to Bronson street; Marion
street from Lot E. 1/2 of Lot 51 in Hendrick & Grants add to Leland avenue; Monroe stree
from Fellows street to Chapin street; Madison street from Lot 44 Hendrick & Grants
addition to Marion street, under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 522, 5235 525, 526,
527, 529, 530, 5312 532, 5343, 5352 536, 537, 5"2 5422 544 & 546 respectively, was
deferred until April 6th, 1909, at 10 A. M.
Hearing given an Deelaratory Resolution for Cement walks on Michigan street from
Wayne street to alley North of LaSalle avenue. Resolution No. 543. As the work
'-as been put in under private contract said resolution is hereby RESCINDED.

Hearing given on Declaratory Resolutions for. cement sidewalks on the following
streets, where not already laid:
.Di-vl-sion street from Alley west of Main street to Chapin street; Colfax avenue
in front of lot 4 Cobb's Sub and lot 8 Dunbar's Sub. Washington street from
LaFayette street to the first alley east; LaSalle avenue from Michigan str--et to
alley west of Scott street; Jefferson street from Chapin street to Vistula avenue;
Michigan avenue from 2nd alley west of LaSalle avenue to Scott street and Main
street from Marion street to Bronson street, a-1 under Improvement Resolutions Nos.
524, 5292 5332 535, 540, 541, 545 respectively.,.
Engineer filed estimated cost as follows:

In the above matter no further remonstrators appeared and no further remonstran-
ces were filed. All other remonstranees over -ruled. The Board therefore find in
each and every case in saidimprovements that the benefits to the property and to
the City of South -Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvements
and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved as amended.

Be it resolved that notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times on the
5th day of September and on the 12th clay of September, 1908, to the effect that'
this Board will receive bids for said improvements up to 10 A. M. on the 22nd day
of September, 19W. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
