Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for water connections on West Washington street from Michigan street to Walnut street. Bids to be received up to TO A. M. on the 19th day of August, 1909. Engineer reported grade on alley west of Allen street. Same approved. South Bend Chandelier Company were awarded the contract for furnishing lighting Pixtures_for No. 10'Hose House. Contract price $64.75. City Attorney was instructed to take the necessary legal steps to open Cottrell street south to connect Noward Park with the new property recently purchased for park and boulevard purposes, south of the Grand Trunk Railroad. Engineer filed assessment rolls and final estimates for Grade, Curb & Walk on Johnson street from Longley avenue to MicigaN avenue, Carroll street from Pennsylvania avenue to Calvert street, Pipe Sewer on Olive street from Kenwood avenue to Longley avenue; Wayne street from St. Peter street to Notre Dame street and Fisher street from We bster street to Union street, under Improvement resolutions Nos. 471,491,547,556 & 559 respectively. _Resolved, that notices sa to the amounts of assessments be published for six consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing on the 12th day of August, 1905, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 25th day of August, 1909, at 7:15 P.M. Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be Published on the 12th day of August 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the 25th day of August, 1908, at 7:15 P. M. President.
