In compliance with a resolution of the Common Council adopted on the 9th day of
June 1909. The Board of Public Works has this day sent a communication to the South
Bend Manufacturing CIripany of which the following is a copy:

Gentlemen: -
We inclose herewi - th E+. copy of a resolution of the common council which
contains the wished,of the City of South Bend, with rekerence . to the recent frequent
inundations of Ho-,qard Park.
In accordance with the suggestions contained in this resolution the Board of
.Public Works requests to know your disposition in this matter and expresses its.

readiness to enter into the contract proposed at your earliest convenience.
