The Board met in regular session at 10 A._ M. All members present.
Contractor Bonds of Geo. Bennett and John L. t:Tish were filed and approved.
Petition filed by C. Edward Bucher for the vacation of a part of the lst alley
west of Lafayette street from Jefferson street south.

The Board net in Special Session at 7:15 P. H. All members present.
Remonstrance filed by the Singer Manufacturing Company against the Meade street
Trunk Sewer.
Hearing on Declaratory Resolutions for Trunk Sewer on Meade street, Huron street
and Olive street and Trunk Sewer on Prairie avenue, under Improvement Resolutions Nos.
548 & 549 respectively, were deferred until June 12th, 1909, at 10 A. M.

Hearing given on Daclaratory Resolutions for Asphalt Paverrent on West Washington
street from Michigan street to the west line of•Walnut street, Grading of St. Peter
street from Sorin street to Cedar street, Brick Pavement on the first alley south of
Jefferson street from Lafayette street to William street. All under improvement resolutions
Nos. 550, 551 & 552 respectively.
Engineer filed estimated cost as follows:
Washington street Asphalt pavement $56,000.00
St. Peter street Grad#ing 311.00
Alley wouth of Jefferson street Brick 1,500.00
Engineer was instructed to amend the.specifications for the West Washington street
Aaphalt pavement and to make same read as follows: A brick (blocK) pavement from
a line 12 inches on the outside rail of one street car track to a similar line along
the other track.
In all of the above matters no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed.
The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits
to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said
improvements and the same are -hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Be it resolved that notices be published 6n the South Bend Daily Times on the 27th
dayof May and on the 3rd day of June, 1905, to.the effect that this Board will receive
bids for said i<<iprovements up to 10 am on the-16-th day of June, 1905. The Board reserves
the right to reject any or all bids.
