R: for the vacation of an alley running from Poland street to their roundhouse. Referred to the Engineer. Bond filed and approved and -Contract signed with Feser.& Robarge for The St. Peter street Grade, Curb & Valk Improvement. Engineer filed assessment rolls and final estimates for°Brick Pavement on' DeMaude avenue from .JWoodward avenue to Portage avenue; Brick Pavement on California street from Woodward avenue to DeIvlaude avenue, under Improvement Resolutions No. 439 & 440 respectfully. Resolved, that notices as to the amounts -of assessments be published for six consecutive days in the South Bdnd Daily Times, commencing on the 2nd day of May, 1999, stating that tics Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments. at its office in the City Hall on the 19th day of May, 19092 at 7:15 P. . Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereonallowed. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 2nd day of May 1909, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the 19th day of May, 1909, at 7:15 P. Ill. Remonstrance filed by Mr. Harris et. al. against the vacation of Angle street, under Vacation Resolution No. 52. Hearing on Vacation Resolution No. 52, for the vacation of Angle street was deferred until May Sth, 1909, at 10 A. M. Hearing given on Roll of awards and assessment of benefits in the Matter of theopening of Meade street across the L. S. & M. S. R. R. under Condemnation Resolu- tion No. 47. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared acid no -remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find that the roll filed April l0t41909, showing awards of damages and assessment of benefits, should be and the Fame is hereby in all things ratifed,confirmed and approved. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 549 Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Trunk Sewer from the Kenwood avenue trunk sewer, beginning at Linden avenue and Meade street; thence south on Meade street to Huron street; thence east on Huron street to Olive street; thence south on Olive street toCalvert street. Said improvement shall be known and designated as "THE MEADE, HURON & OLIVE STREET TRUNK SEWER IMPROVEMENT" and shall bE constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 2nd day of May and on the 9th day of May, 1909, in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 19th day of May, 1909, at 7:15 P. M. A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where the prpperty owner signs waiver required, as according to law. Which said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six percent per annum, payable as provided by law. Adopted this 1st day of May, 1905. BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. Notice of this -resolution shall be published on the 2nd day of May and on the 9th day of May, 1909, in the South Bend Daily Times.
