The Board met in regular session at 10 A. 174. All members present.
Michigan Central Railroad Company ordered to place a light at Catalpa avenue.
The following Contractor Bonds were filed and approved: Jos. Szweda, Plike
'1bmaszewski, Frank G. Stanley, John Baer and B. T. Vanderkarr & Son.
Contracts were signed and bonds approved of W. H. Burize & Co for Steam Heating
and Plumbing for No. 10 Hose House.
Hearing on Condemnation Resolution No. 43,,for the opening of a thoroughfare along
the slOuth side of the C. I. Ec S. R. R. was deferred until Friday May 15th, 19082
at 10 A. M.
Hearing on Declaratory Resolution for pipe serer on Edgard street was deferred
until May 15th, 1908, at 10 A. M.
Contract awarded to Feser Robarge for Grade, Curb -fie Walk on St. Peter street.
PETITION.
To the. Board of Pub. Wks. So. Bend, Ind.
The.undersigned property owners on West Washington street
respectfully petition for the repsovement of said street 'with Asphalt, from Michigan.
street to Walnut street in accordance with the arrangement made by said Board with'the
Barber Asphalt Co., and details of which are set forth in the statement attached hereto.
Your petitioners ask that the work be done Yhth the least possible delay:

Engineer filed Assessment Rolls and final estimates for Pipe Sewers on Niles avenue
from Howard street to St. Vincent street; Howard street'from Michigan avenue to LaPorte
;.avenue; Blaine avenue and LaPorte avenue; Lindner street from Michigan avenue to LaPorte
avenue; Allen street, Birner street and Harvey street; Wood street from Michigan avenue
to Marion street, all under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 510, 512, 5157 5169 519
520 respectively.
Resolved, that notices as.to the amounts of assessments be published for six
consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing*on the 25th'day of April
1905, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its
office in the City Hall on the 12th day of May, 1909, at 7:15 P. M.
Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts .be accepted _and.
approved and the Final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be
published on the 25th day of April, 1909, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that
this Board will give a hearing on theacceptance of such work at its office in the City
Hall on the 12th day of May, 19091 at 7:15 P. M. `

CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION NO. 48.
Resolved by the Board of public works of the city of South Bend, Indiana: That
the following described property be appropriated for the use of said city:
Begin at the intersection of the west line of Carroll street and the north line
of the right of way of Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railway Co., thence south on
said west line of Carroll street produced, to the north lineof Tutt street, thence
east on the north line of Tutt street eighty -tiro and one half (92 1/2) feet to the
east line of Carroll street, produced south, thence north on said east lineof,Carroll
street, to the north lineof right of way of Lake Shore & Michigan Southerni
Railway, thence north westerly on said right of Tray to the place of beginning.

Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 25th day of April and on
the 5th day of May, 190£5, in the South Bend Daily Times.
This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 19th day of May, 1905,
at 7:15 P. M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or
affected by these proceedings.
