City Engineer was instructed to prepair specifications.for pipe sewer on Olive Street
from Kenwood Avenue,'tibrth to the Kaley School.
Hearing on Edward Street Pipe Swer improvement Under Improvement Resolution No.509
deferred until Friday morning January 24th, at 10 A.M.
Hearing on Condemnation Resolution No.43 for the Opening of a public Thoroughfare along
the south side of the C.I & S.R.R. from Sample Street to'Olive Street, Deferred until
Friday morning January 24th, at 10 A.M.
Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution No.46 Appropriating the
following described property.to wit,.
`Olive Street to be opened and extended for its full width of Sixty
(60) feet from the north line of right of way of the New Jersey, Indiana & Illinois
Railroad to the south line of Sample Street,extended crest, crossing and extending over the
right of way of the New Jersey, Indiana & Illinois R.R. The Gram Trunk Western Ry and
the Indiana,Illinois & Iowa Ry Co, Now Called the C.I & S.R.R.
Also opening and extending Sample Street westerly over and across the
right of way of said railroads its full width of Sixty Six (661.feet to the west line
of Olive Street, as above described.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances
were filed, The Board therefore declare the above described property in all things
Condemned and Appropriated for public._nses
The Engineer filed roll showing awards of damages and
assessments of benefits in the matter of Opening Olive Street its full width of Sixty
() feet across the Right of Way of the New Jersey, Indiana & Illinois Ry Co,
The Grand Trunk Western Ry Co,& The Indiana, Illinois & Iowa Ry Co, ( Now called the
C.I & S.Ry Co,)
Also Opening and extending Sample Street westerly over and across
the Right of Way of said Railroads its full width.of Sixty—six (66) feet to the west
line of Olive Street as above described, Under Condemnation Resolution No.46
The Board having fully considered the matter.of awards,'a damages
and assessments of benefits in the matter of Opening Olive Street and the Widening of
Sample Street, Under Condemnation Resolution No.46,-It is held that the Benefits and
Damages are equal and that none of the real estate mentioned in the assessment roll
herein is specially benefitted or damaged and the said assessment roll is hereupon
adopted.
It is further ordered that notice of such awards of damages
and assessment of benefits be served by the Police Department, according to Law, and
that a hearing be had on February llth,1909. at 10 A.M., for the purpose of hearing
or receiving objections from any person or persons interestert in or effected by these
proceedings-.
Hearing given on the Roll of awards and assessments Under Condemnation
Resolution No.36 Adopted on the llth, Day of September 1907, for the opening of
Woodward Avenue and Elwood Avenue, from Portage Avenue to Terrace Avenue$ The Board
having heard the remonstrances._; and being fully advised in the matter it is ordered
that said Roll be amended by allowing an award of $25.00 Dollars to Ida & Julia Wraase,
owners of Lot No.9 in north west Add, and also an award of $25.00 Dollars to Alvina
O.Wraase..owner of Lot No-9 in North west Add. And that all other remonstrances be
over ruled and the said roll as now amended be in all things Ratified, Confirmed and
Approved.
