SPECIAL SESSION TUESDAY DECEMBER LOTH, 1907, AT 7:15 P. M.
The Board met in Special Session at 7:15 P. M. All members present.
Remonstrance filed against the amount of certain assessments on East Washington
street & Artesian avenue Brick Pavement.
Remonstrance filed against the Adams street Cement Curb Improvement. OVER -RULED.
Hearing on Assessment Roll and final estimate for Brick Pavement on East Washington
:-treet & Artesian avenue and for Grade, Curb & Walk on Bertrand street from Olive
street to the alley west of Anthony street, under Improvement resolutions Nos..436 &
497 respectively, was deferred until Friday December"13th, 1907, at 10 A.M.
A Hearing was had on the final estimate of the Grade, Curb & Walk on King street
from Portage avenue to laine avenue, Kendall street from Indiana avenue to Alley North
of Leon C6urt and Maple street from Washington street to Division street, under
Improvement resolutions Nos. 425, 445 &,447 respectively. A number of interested
property owners were present in person and others represented by Attorneys and remon-
strated against the acceptance of said work on account of alleged defects, consisting
of cracks in the surface of the work. and that the grouting in the walks and cuRb was soft
and disentegrating. In as much as the.work is partially covered with snow and the ground
is frozen up in such a way ds to prevent a proper inspection of the work at this time,
it is determined by the Board that this hearing be continued until the 2nd Tuesday in
April 1908, at 7:15 P. X- to eNable the board to make proper inspection.

In the alcove matter no further remonstrators appeared and no further remonstrances
T,,ere filed. All other remonstrances were over -ruled. The Board therefore find that the
property assessed in said rolls filed November 19th,1907, h--bbnefitted in the amount
of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further find that the assessment rolls
filed November 19th 1907, and the final estimates allowed November 19th, 1907, should
be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
