1. A me Ling of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission was held at the
office of.the Commission at Suite 1001, 120 West LaSalle Avenue in the City
of South Bend, Indiana, on the 23rd day of April 1968, at 10:00 A. M•,
being a special meeting of said Commission and called pursuant to written
notice delivered to all Commissioners in accordance with the Bylaws of the
South Bend Redevelopment Commission.

2. This special meeting was called for the purpose of considering bids for
dispositLon parcels in the LaSalle Park Project, R-
57. Bids were opened in
accordan2e with legal procedure on April 11, 1968, and everyone that sub-
mitted a bid received a bid tabulation.

approximately 57 additional developed properties and 118 vacant lots.
In view of these pending changes, and the complexity of the work
involved, with the staff already working to capacity, the Commission
approved the execution of a Contract with City Planning Associates
to prepare the amendatory application to the Loan and Grant
Contract, at a cost of $6,000 to be completed in 30 days, upon the
mdt on b Mr. Kompar, seconded by Rev. Kirk.
6. PROGRESS REPORTS
a, emolition Contract Preparation, LaSalle Park, R -57. The
staff has received approval of the draft of the Demolition Contract
for LaSalle Park Project, R -57, from Chicago DHUD Office, and it
should ba ready to be advertised for bids within a week or 10 days.
The Cont act will be awarded two weeks from date of advertisement.
An addendum will be added to the Contract to include additional
buildings as acquired. The Commission approved the advertising
for bids upon Contract completion, in the interest of saving a
few days delay, upon the motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Mr. Chenney.

b. Zelocation Progress Report, LaSalle Park, R -57. Mr. Scott RELOCATION
has made substantial progress in relocating families from the Place PROGRESS, LASALLE
Homes. Two large families, consisting of 10 persons each, already PARK, R -57
have been moved. These Place Homes' residents have represented
hard core problems for the Relocation Director, since they involve
large fa ilies with low income.
