THE MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER RECEIVES
PRIME SITE FACILITIES AWARD
SOUTH BEND The Morris Performing Arts Center received the Prime Site Facilities
Award for 2012. The award is given to North American convention facilities selected by
meeting industry executives directly involved in site selection, i.e. association executives,
meeting planners and tradeshow managers. This is the seventh consecutive year the
Morris Center has received the award.
"Morris staff are pleased to receive this national award of serving event clientele," said
Dennis Andres,Director of Morris Performing Arts Center.
The inscription on the award reads:
"Your staff does an exceptional job of serving its events clientele, and your city and
community should be proud of its accomplishments.Congratulations."
Awarded by Pollstar,a national publication,has consistently ranked The Morris Center in
the top 100 in the entertainment and facilities venue. Originally built in 1921,The Morris
is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and completed a restoration and
renovation process in 2000 with a state-of-the-art stage house and interior restored to its
original vaudeville splendor. The theater hosts a wide variety of concerts,national
Broadway touring musicals, symphony, dance, comedians,and is home to the South
Bend Symphony Orchestra and Broadway Theatre League. Visit the Morris website at
