Petition. -received and read by the Board asking for the improvement of the west side of North Johnson Street from Vassar Avenue to the 4orth line of Ma,yrts Michigan. Avenue Arid.ition , by, the construction of a sidewalk and curb.. The same wam referred to the Civil Engineeer for investigation. Petition received and read by,the Board for the improvement of Olire Sunset from Elwood Avenue to Kellar Street by Gracie, Curd and walk. The, same referred to the City Civil Engineer for investigation. f A Complaint was received from a Mr. Curtis, at the corner of Wilbur and Longley Avenue regarding a pole in front of his property. Pole and wire inspector was instruct. ted to investigate and made the following report. That the pole was the property of the Indiana &Michigan Ele,et ri c, Company and had beet. set without a permit. Clerk was ordered to notify the aforesaid company that repeated complaints_ had been received of the said company placing poles with out petitioning they Board "for the privilege of getting same on public property. /Engine.er filed assessment roll and sward of dampges and assessment of benefits under Vacation Resolution No. 20 The Board has ordered that notices of_ such, awards-pf damages and assessments ^ of benefits be served according to law,, pnd that a hearing begiven on same at the office of the Board in the City Hall, at 7:45 P.M. Friday January the., 241yh. 1913 for the purpose of hearing or receiving objections of any person or pe rsons in- terested in said matter. .Iri the matter of publishing of proposals for the Grading of Michigan Avenue, Under Improvement. Resolution No. 193, confirmed on Tuesday August 13th. 1912 by the Board in regular session, all members present, The Board resolves that notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times on the 24th. day of January 1913 and on the 31st. day of January 1913, to the effect that this Board will receive bids for ,the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. on the llth. day of February 1913.
