Pole and Aire Inspector reported favorably on removal of CTuy Pole at 619 E. 'Wenger
St re et . Board approved of sme, and ordered. that Indiana & Iasi nhigan Ele et ri e
Company remove the same. The pole belonging to said company.

Board met in regular hearing at 7;45 P.M. Mr. Lambert absent.
Hearing given on Condeituiation Resolution No. 17 for the purpose of appropriating a
strip of land 22ft. Wide ,south.of the short alley extending from Keasey,to Carroll
Street onr t he west side of Carroll Street.,
In;. the:. above_mat.ter, reomst rat ars, appeared ` and a remonstrance was filed.
A petition and agreement was also presented to the Board as follows,

South Bend,I ndi ana.
Gentlemen:
I will offer for sale for the purpose of widening Keasey St. near
Carroll Street, a part of lot number Nine (*9) 'Hutchin'rs Addition.
,, For the sum of Sixty f $60.00) Dollars per front foot, I will sell
Twenty-two (22) feet to be taken off of and from the North side of lot nine(9) in
Hutchins Addition this City, for said price I agree to move or tear down all the
buildings thereon at my own expense, namely a large two -store house, wood sehd, out-
building and the building used as a blacksmith shop

All remonstrances were over -ruled and thereupon being duly advised in the matter the
Board takes final actions bn said ResolutiorL_-,confirming without modification, all
former action taken on the same.
The Board .therefore declares the above property in all thin@s - condemned
aftd appropriated for public use, the Board now orders that, a list or roll be prepared
of all the owners or holders of property and of valuable interests therein sought to
be taken or to be injuriously affected, which said list shall also described the pro-
perty beneficially affected.
�I the matter of the Vacation of Keasey Street 'from W. from Carroll Street to a North
and South Alley from Elder Street to Keasey Street proper,under Vacation Resolution
No.19.
The Board after due consideration decides that the resolution be and
the same is hereby in all things rescinded.
-,"In the matter of Widening of alley Nest of Harrison Avenue from Michigan Avenue to
1st. alley South of Michigan Avenue, under Condemnation Resolution No. 19.
The Board having said matter under advisement find that the remonstrance
filed September 13th. 1912 should be sustained and that the resolution should -be and
the same is hereby and in all things rescinded.
-,"Deelaratory Hearing given on Improvement Resolution No. 204 for Pipe Sewer on
Cottage Grove Avenue from Oak Street to 30-ftt. No. of 1st. alley South of Oak Street.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were
filed. The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvement that the
benefits to the property and to the city of South Bend, are equal to the estimated
cost of said improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed
and approved.
Be it resolved that notices be publis ed in the South Bend Daily
Times on the lst. day of October 1912 and on the 8th. day of October 1912 to the
effect that this Board will receive bids for said improvements up to 10:00 A.M.
on the 22nd. day of October 1912. The Board reserves the right to reject any all
all bids.

on Colfax Avenue from Bi rdsell Street to Walnut Street.
14t h. 1913. In the above matter the Board deferred all action until Jmuary
Declaratory hearing on Grading and Paving with Gravel Michigan Avenue from Olive
Street to point 1436 ft. W. of Olive Street. Under Improvement Resolution No. 205.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances
were filed. The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvement that
the benefits to the property and to the City of South Bend, are equal to the estimated
cost of rai6 improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed
and epp roved.

Hearing riven on Assessment Ro&l and final estimate°for Pavement on Hydraulic Avenue
from LaSalle Avenue to Race Bridge. Under Impro vement Resolution No. 130
In the above matter a remonstrance was filed, the Board therefore after due
consideration decided to deferred all action on same until Friday October lith. 1912 at
7:45 P.M..
The remonstrance filed by the Oliver Chilled PLOW Works against said Hydrauli.c Avenue
Improvement assessment was referred to the City Attorney to be reported to the Board
Friday October 11t h. 1912. at 7: 45 P.M.
,--'llearing given on Assessment Roll and final estimate for Brick Pavement on Division 'Street
from Michigan Street to Chapin Street, under Improvement Resolution. No. 90*
In the above matter remonstrators appeared but no remonstrances were filed.
The Board after due consideration decided to deferred all action on the same, until

Hearing given on assessment roll and final estimate for Grade, curb Md walk on Sample
Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 97.
In the above .matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were
filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said rolls filed August
30th 1912 is benefited in the amount of assessmets as shown on said rolls, and the Board
further find that the assessment roll filed. August 30th. 1912 and the final estimate
allowed August . 30th. 1912 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, con. -
firmed and approved.

Koseiuszko Streetito Olive Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 134.
In the above matter remonstrators appeared but no remonstrances were filed.
The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said rolls filed September 6th.
1912 is benefited in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further
find that the assessment rolls filed Se _tember 6th. 1912 and the final estimate allowed
September 6th. 1912 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and
approved.

approved.

Resolution No, 156.
Its the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were
filed. The Board therefore find that the property in said rolls filed. j)ugust
30 th. 1912 ms benefited in the amount of assessments -as shown on said rolls, and the
Board further find that the assessment rolls filed August 30th. 1912 arid the final estimate
allowed August 30th. 1912 should be and the, Name are hereby in all things ratified,
.confirmed and approved.
