___'Mr'. John. Stickler appeaped before the Board in regard to sewer tap on Allen Street.
T e same was referred to the City Engineer for investigation.
4,4etition received for light on. Okie Street from Michigan Street to Carroll Streets. the
same was referred to the Street Commissioners for investigation.
/,,Petitiox for light on Lindner Street. Same was referred to the Street Commissioner for
investigation.
4/Petition for light at the intersection of Johnson Street and Vassar Avenue. The same was
referred to the St re et Commissioners for i nve st i gat i on.
Petition for sewer on Cottage Grove Avenue from Oak Street to South end of same was
received and the same was referred to the City. Engineer for investigation
riCommunication received from the County Commissioners, regarding the surplus dirt on. L9th. St
in the City of South Bend, Indiana. The same was read and placed on file.
In the matter of the awarding of bids on 19th. street. The same was deferred until
Tuesday August 27th. 1912 at 10:00 A.Mi,
Contractors Bond for the improvement of lst. alley North of North Shore Drive, signed by
Hoban & Roach and American Surety Company of New York, and approved by the Board.
Guarantee Bond on South Main Street Asphalt Pavement received and the same was referred to
City Attorney.
'Guarantee Bond on North Lafayette Street Asphalt Pavement was received and t-ae same was
referred to the City Attorney.
In.the matter of Vacation Resolution No. 17. the Board find that the property of
Joseph G. & Therssa Fuzy is benefited in the amount of $131.00 The property of Jose.p#,
G. & Theresa Fizzy is therefore assessed $131.00, Now comes the Josepg G. Fuzy an,
waive all notice of assess;r.ents under Vacation Resolution No. 17 and pay into the
Treasury of the City of South Bend, Indiana, the sum of One Hundred and Thirty One
( $131.00)Dollars.

Under Improvement Resolution No. = 197.
In theabove matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed'). The
Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvement that the tenefit- `'
to the property and tot he City of South Bend, are equal to the eestimatdd cost (said
improvements and the same are. hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

this Beard-wi11 receive bids - for acid improvement up to 10:00 A.X. on the 17th. dq of

Board.there fore' find in each and every case in said improvement that thebenefits to
the property and to. the City of South Bend, are equal to the estimated cost of said
improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed .and approved.
Be it resolved that notices_ be published in the. South Bend Daily Times oen the 26th,
day of August, 1912 and on the 2nd. day of September 1912 to the effect that this
Board .will receive. bids for said improvement up to 10::00 A.M. on the 171a. day of
September 1912. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Hearing given on Improvement Resolution No. 188 for Pipe Sewer on Linden, Carlisle
and Sadie Street.
In the above matter remonstrators appeared and remonstrances were filed. The Board
after due consideration Therefore find in each and every case in said improvement
that the benefits to the property and to the City of South Bend, are equal to the
estimated cost of said improvement, and the sane are hereby in all things ratified.,

that the property assessed in said roll filed August 2nd. 1912 is benefited in the
amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further find that the
assessment roll filed August the 2nd. 1912 and the final; estimate -allowed August 2nd.,
1912 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved

of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further find that the assessment
roll filed July 23rd.. 1912 and the final estimate allowed July 23,1912 should be

that the property assessed in said roll filed July 23rd. 1912 is benefited in the
amount -of assessments as shown on said roll, and the Beard further find that the assess-
ment roll filed July 23rd. 19i2 and the Final Estimate allowed July 23rd. 1912 should
be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

Street from Monroe Street to Sample Street, under Improvement. Resolution No. 129.
No remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find
that the property assessed in said roll filed July 3Oth. 1912 is benefited in the enoutits
of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further find that the assessment
roll Bled July 30th. 1912 and the Final Estimate allowed July 30th. 1912 should be and
the seine are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Hearing given en Assessment roll and final estimate on Dater Connections on Walnut
Street from Colfax Avenue to Portage Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No, 173.
In t he above matter remonstrators appeared, and all action was deferred on same until
Friday September 13th. 1912 at 7:4 5 P.M.
4/ Hearing given on Roll showing award of damages and assessments of benefits in the
matter of Condemnation Resolution No. 16. for the purpose of opening Grace Street
from lots 9 and 24 in Woolverton's Sub. Div., to Walnut Street. Adopted on the 2nd.,
day of April ,1912.
Several remonstrators appeared in person, and a remonstrance was filed. The Board
therefore after due consideration formally declare all action on the afore -going re
solution hereby rescinded.
Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution 18 for the Opening of Vernon Street, across
t he L. S. & M. S. R. R.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed.
The Board therefore declare the above property in all things condemned and appropriated
for public use.
Engineer instructed to prepare roll showing awards of damages and a,ssesanents of bens —
fits in the above matter.
