Bids were awarded to Henry DeVoe torpipe sewers on the following Street s: Pipe Sewer on Harris Street from Division Street to G. T. & W. Ry. under. Improvement Resolution No. 159. ✓Pipe Sewer on Birdsell Street from Farsnacht Avenue to lst. alley South ,under Improvement Resolution No. 160. Engineer filed assessment Roll rnd final estimate for Brick Pavement on North Scott Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 127.-127 A. RESOLVED, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing on the 15th, day of July 1912 :stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such �assess- ments at its office in the City Hall on the 26th. day of August 1912 at 7:45 P.M. RESOLVED further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 15th day of July 1912 in the South Bend Daily Times, stat- ing that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Mall on the 26th. day of July 1912, at 7:45 P.M. - COPY OF CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION NO. 18. RESOLVED, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Betd, Indiana: That it is deemed and desired necessary to open and a xt end VERNON STREET FROM THE NORTH LINE OF THE LAKE SHORE AND MICHIGAN SOUTHERN RAILWAY CO' S RIGHT-OF-WAY TO' THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID COMPANY' S RIGHT-OF-WAY IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,ST. JOSEPH , COUNT Y,INDIANA, by the condemnation and appropriation of part of said company's rightr of -way, ppecifically described as follows, to -wit.: - Beginning at the East line of Vernon Street; as now platted and laid out; and the North line of the Lake Share and Michigan Southern Railway right-of-way; thence south in line with the East line of said Vernon Street 106.5 feet to the south line of the Lake Shore -and Michigan Southern Railway Comp any' s right --o fway; thence westerly along the Southerly line of said company's right-of-way 60.0 feet to a point in line with the West line of s said Vernon Street; thence north in line with the west line of said Vernon Street. thence North in line with the west line of said Vernon Street 107.45 feet to the North line of said Companies right-of-way; thence southeasterly along the northerly line of said Companies right-of-way 60.0 feet t.o the East line of Vernon Street,, Which point is the place of beginning. All as shown on a plat of such proposed opert ing noIr on rile in the office- of the Board of Public Works of said City. The property which may be injuriously or beneficially affected in the City of South Benda Indiana by the opening and exte_ntion of said Vernon Street as above described,is known and described as the ground herein propsed to be condemned and appropriated therefor, and also all the lots and land and parcels of lots lying within the following described territory in the City of South Bend, Indiana, is -wit Begin at the intersection of the Sou:#Z, line of. -Vistula Avenue and the center line of Kline Street; thence south along the center line of Kline Street' to the center of Calvert Street; thence west along the center -of Calvert Street to the center of Clyde Street; thence north along. the center of Clyde Street and Clyde Street produced to Vistula Avenue; thence southeasterly along Vistula Avenue to Kline Street the place, of beginning. The purpose of such appropriation is OPENING AND EXTE 4TION OF VERNON STR'E STREET ACROSS THE LAKE SHORE &-MICHIGAN SOUTHERN RAILWAY COMPANIES RIGHT-OF-WAYw Notice of this resolution shall be published on the I t day of July and on the. 23rde day of July 1912 in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 9th. day of August, 1912 at- 10:00 A.M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings.
