Board met in regular session. at 10:00` A.I.
All members present.
_,--Bids were opened on various, Street ,Under Improvement Resolution No. 151. The
same were referred to the City Engineer for Tabulation.
Release of James Nelson 10 yr. Bond on Laurel- Street ,a�pprroved.
Whereas, James Nelson, as Principal, and lamer can bSu ety Company of New York
as Surety, did on the 5th. day of June A.D. 1902 a xe cut e d and deliver to the City
of South Bend, Indiana, a certain bond in the penal sum of Six Hundred .Beventy nine
and 55/100 ($679.55)Dollars, by the terms of which instrument said Principal and
said Surety guaranteed to said city the maintenance and repair of a,brick pavement
on south Laurel Street from the South line of Washington Street to the North line of
Division Street for a period of ten years from the date of seed bond viz: June 5th.
1902, and whereas, said ten year period -of maintenance and repair has expired,
NOW,THEREFORE, We, the undersigned, the Board of°Publie*Works of the -City of
South Bend, Indiana, acting for and on behalf of said City under authority duly
conferred by law, do hereby release and dicharge said James Nelson, said Principal,.
and the American Surety Company Of
NOW York, said Surety, from any af.d all li—
ability on said band so executed and delivered on said June 5th. 1902 to said City,
and guaranteeing the maintenance: and repair of said South Laurel Street from the
South line of Washington Street to the North line of Division Street, as aforesaid.
Dated at South Bend, Indiana, this 5th. day of June. A.D. 1912.
