All Members present. ,,-(`ommunication received from the Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Railroad Com- pany asking the approval of the Board and permission to set twenty two (22) popes on either side of Portage Avenue between the Viaduct and the City Limitsq, The szme was approved a's follows:' - The Chicago,, ' South Bend & Northern Indiana Railway Company can use the Home Telephone Companies poles now on the west side of Portage Avenue,also use the Indiana & Michigan Electric Poles.now on the east side of, Portage Avenue. If any of the poles that are there now are fouti.d to week, they should be re -placed by the Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Railroad Company. All poles placed should be°high enough for all companies to use the same poles. The Central Union Telephone Company should transfer.their wires on to the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company"s Poles 'at once befo_re'thg Chicago; South Bend ,&-Northern7.1ndiana Railroad construct their trolley. �- Hearing given. on Declaratory Resolution No. 172 for a Pipe Sewer on Garst Street from Franklin to a Point 100 ft. West of Lafayette Street. In the above matter remonstrators appeared.) snd a remonstrance wasp filed. Therefore be resolved that the Board find in each and every case in slid improvements that the benefits to the property, and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvements. and the same are hereby in all things' ratified, confirmed and ap- proved. The Board reserves the 'right to reject any and all bids. Hearing given on Declaratory Resolution No. 162 for Grade,Curb and Walk on Lafayette Street from North Shore Drive to Parkhovash Avenue. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and nn remonstrances were fil- ed. Therefore be it resolved that the Board find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the property, and to t_�e City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvements, and the same are hereby in all things rati- fied, confirmed and approved.. Be it further resolved that notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times on the 5t h. day of June 1912 and on the 12th. day of June 1912 to the effect that this Board will, receive bids for the construction of said improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 25th. day of June 1912. In the Above matter remonstrators appeared and remonstrances were filed. After due consideration by the Board the sane was deferred until June l9th. 1512.(Tuetday) at 10:00 A.M. President.
