It being pact 10:30 a.m. CDT on the 14th day of January, 1965, bids were
properly op ned pursuant to notice and were as follows:
HAM WRECKING COMPANY, 2208 South 11th Street,.Niles, Michigan. Bid Bond
in the sum of $11,000 signed by Robert W. Ham as Principal, and American
States Insu ance Company, Indianapolis, Indiana as Surety; Non - Collusion
Affidavit; Statement of Bidder's Qualifications, Standard Questionnaires
and Financial Statement for Bidders enclosed, all in proper order, except;
Bidder fail Ed to submit his proposal in the form as set out in the "Instruc-

properly co pleted in that the prices were not given in Words, but said defect
is waived.

the sum of $16,000 signed by Sam Warner, Owner, and United Bonding Insurance
Company, as Surety; Non - Collusion Affidavit; Standard Questionnaires and
Financial Statement for Bidders were submitted in proper form. Statement
of Bidder's Qualifications not completed but same may be waived as sufficient
information was properly submitted in Standard Questionnaire.
REED CONSTRUCTION CO., INC., 705 South Beiger :Street, Mishawaka, Indiana. Bid
Bond in the sum of $3,292 signed by Virgil H. Reed, President, and The Fidelity
& Casualty Co. of N. Y., as Surety; Non - Collusion Affidavit, Statement of
Bidder's Qualifications, Standard Questionnaires and Financial Statement for
Bidders werq submitted in proper form.

the sum of 415,000 signed by Arthur-P. more, Proprietor, and United Bonding
Insurance Company, Surety; and Statement of Bidder's Qualifications submitted.
Bidder havi g failed to furnish Form 96A - Standard Questionnaires and Finan-
cial Statem nt for Bidders, bid was rejected.

The t bulation of bids received pertaining to the above are filed in
India a R -29 - Site Clearance - Tabulation Section and hereby.: made a
part f these minutes.
On motion by Mr. Louis, seconded by Mr. Helmen, the Commission advised
the bids be itemized in detail for analysis by the engineer and his
recommendations, and the awarding of the contract be taken under advise-
ment.
3. REtSOLUTION NO. 9(7, - INDIANA R -29
On motion by Mr. Louis, seconded by Mr. Kompar, the Commission unanimously
approved the resolution authorizing the acceptance of a bid or bids for
the purchase of $783,000 Preliminary Loan Notes of the City of South Bend,
Department of Redevelopment, for Project Indiana R -29. Resolution No. 97
is herewith attached and hereby made a part of these minutes.
