WAREHOUSE The Commission, on motion by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. Koczan, LEASE unanimously approved the signing of this lease on a month -to -month basis, subj ct to sale, and approval of lease by LPA Attorney Bruce C. Ha merschmidt. This rental is to be at the rate of $100 per month pler acre, rental plus improvements and insurance. Communication from Rieth -Riley was received announcing the comple- CONTRACT tion of Item 1 and 2 of Contracts "D" & "E" in the - -Sample Street COMPLETION Indiana R -7 Project Area. Contract "D" was completed September 3, RIETH -RILEY 1964 and Contract "E" on July 5, 1964. "D" & "E" ITEMS 1 & 2 6. - IND. R -7 On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Kompar, the Commission RESOLUTION unanimously approved the bid offer of Ideal Consolidated, Inc. for_ #92 - IDEAL parcel No. (b) at the bid price of 23.82¢ per square foot, sub - CONS., INC. ject to receiving an up -dated financial statement and HHFA concur- BID PAR.4(b) rence.. Mr. Nowak r ported to the Commission that the Survey & Planning Application submitted to the Common Council of "the City of South Bend for ap roval was tabled at their meeting of September 28, 1964 for a roximately 30 days in order to allow time to further study the x solution. It was the suggestion of the Commission -2- SURVEY & PLANNING APPLICATION IND. R -41 that M . Hammerschmidt and Mr. Nowak contact the chairman of the.. redevelopment committee in order that the Council be made aware of the time element involved in connection with the non -cash credit,-. 8. The demolition contract specifications are to be available for DEMOLITION review by the Redevelopment Department Commission approximately CONTRACT the fi st of next week. I IND. R -29 M Chapin Street Project Indiana R' -29 area has 98 parcels closed IND. R -29 to date, 11 options are outstanding, and 18 options are to be PROGRESS obtained. Rent receipts in the Indiana R -29 area amount- $4,710 and RENT receip s for salvage material amount to $306 to date. RECEIPTS R -29 Sixteell percent of the land has been disposed of in the Sample LAND DISP. Street Industrial Park Area. Total receipts to date amount to IND. R -7 $90,030. This sum represents actual and committed sales. Mr. Scott reported that a meeting is to be held with the small SMALL businessmen in the Indiana�R -29 area. They are trying to BUSINESS explore the possibility of small business loans to facilitate IND. R -29 relocation. Next m eting is to be held October 15, 1964. NEXT MEETING 10.
