Older drugs such as heroin and cocaine could destroy a person’s life causing a general deterioration of quality of life or by overdose. Many of these new drugs can destroy a life by triggering psychotic episodes of hallucinations, aggression, paranoia, suicidal or impulses and homicidal tendencies. In response to the community's call for action, the "Not in Our Community" committee was formed in January 2017. The committee has focused on prevention, education, community outreach, mental health/social providers and law/code enforcement. We invite you to join us on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Charles Martin Youth Center, 9:00 am - 11:00a.m., to hear from committee members, representatives from Beacon Health Systems, social services professionals and others who are directly dealing with this issue. ### Tim Scott President Karen White Vice-President John Voorde Chairperson, Committee of the Whole Tim Scott First District Regina Williams-Preston Second District Sharon L.
