At the 9/10 Board meeting, bids were opened for the above -referenced project. Two bids were
received, with base bids as follows:
J. W. Werntz and Son, Inc. $216,000.00
Mihm Enterprises, Inc.: $271,870.00
Upon review of the submitted bid packages, both bids must be rejected,
The bid from J. W. Werntz and Son included a `Contractor's Non -Collusion and Non -Debarment
Affidavit' which was not properly notarized. After discussion with the Board attorney, that
omission requires the bid be rejected as non -responsive.
The Mihm Enterprise bid package includes a statement that they have `no apprenticeship
programs in place at this time' meaning they cannot meet the requirements set forth by the
City's `Responsible Bidder Ordinance', and the bid must be rejected.
The project will be re -bid subject to the building owner's schedule

(1) bidder not meeting the Responsible Bidder Ordinance.
