On motion made by Mr. Place, seconded by Mr. Koczan and unanimously
carried, the minutes of previous meeting dated September 19, 1963
were ap roved and the following business was discussed:

carried, the Commission approved the following claim; for payment
totaling $40.26.

Mr. Baer reported that three of the properties in the Sample Street
area still had tenants in them. That the City was entitled to
possessi n of each of the properties but that.the tenants had refused
to vacat ,,despite written notices to do so.
On motion made by Mr. Koczan, seconded by Mr. Helmen and unanimously
passed, the attorney far the Redevelopment Department was instructed
to file eviction or ejectment proceedings against.the occupants of
the foll wing parcels in the Sample Street Redevelopment Areaz.

RE LVED that the award of the site improvements in the Sample
Str et Redevelopment Area be and the same is hereby awarded to
Rie h -Riley Construction Company, P. O. Box 775, South Bend,
Indiana, for a total amount of $442,753.53.

com lying with the bid requirements to the Department of Re-
dev

Red lopment Commission, be and is hereby authorized to sign the
