III. (ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION FOR CHAPIN STREET RELOCATION
Mr. Sucher reported that he has been in touch with Mr. Robert
Pollit , Executive Director of the Family & Children's Center
regarding the possibility of contracting with the Family and
Children's Center to do relocation work with the Chapin Street
Project. The Commission suggested that Mr. Pollitt be invited
to att nd the next Commission meeting to discuss this possibility
furthe .
IV. PROGRESS REPORT
Mr. Howard Bellinger reported to the Commission his plans RESIGNA-
to resign from his position as Assistant Director of the TION OF
South 3end Redevelopment Department effective about H. BELL-
August 15th, 1963. The Commission stated that it wished INGER
to ack owledge the excellent job Mr. Bellinger has done
with t e South Bend Redevelopment Department.

It decided to ask Mr. T. Fitzgerald of the Regional CRP
Offwa ic to come to South Bend to answer the many questions
the C mmission has regarding the Community Renewal Program.

pointed out by Mr. Sucher and Mr. Helmen that the
Commission
will be glad to appear at meetings that are
spons
red by organizations representing the people; however,
inasmuch
as final approval has not yet been received from
HHFA,
Chicago, any attempt by this Department to give
infor
ation to the public might be misinterpreted as being
official.
Mr. S cher was advised by Mr. Louis to get three bids WEED
on weed removal in the Sample Street Area, Indiana R -7; REMOVAL
