SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
September 3, 2019, 10:00 AM

Members present: Jonathan Jones, Toy Villa, Brad Rohrscheib, Darwin Shipley
Assistant City Attorney; Clara McDaniels
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 10:02 AM by President Rohrscheib.
2. Approval of minutes
Upon a motion by and seconded by the minutes from the previous meeting, August
20th was approved unanimously
3. Approval of Special Event Permits
a. Classic Car Show – September 21st
Received clarification from the Farmer’s Market on their request for street closure.
They are requesting to have Eddy St. at Beyer which is a dead-end street. The
committee saw no issues with this request. Using this area to park some of the cars
for the show. The Farmer’s market is notifying surrounding businesses in area.
Upon a motion by Jones and seconded by Shipley, the permit is approved unanimously
b. Mamas Against Violence Remembrance Walk – September 21st
As a committee, we decided to table this event. No route for the walk was provided
at the time of submission of application. Tried reaching out to event sponsor prior to
this meeting. At this given time, we do not have any other information or response
from the event sponsor.
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Villa, the permit is tabled unanimously

1. Privilege of the Floor - None
2. Adjournment
With no additional business, Rohrscheib motioned for adjournment and Shipley
seconded. The meeting ended at 10:12 AM.
